GAROTH

Garoth is a taluka headquarters in Mandsaur district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh>. It is located in the northeastern part of Mandsaur district. It is situated 80 km. northeast of Mandsaur and 40 km. south of Bhanpura. The nearest airport is at Indore. Mandsaur Railway Station and Nimach Railway Station are the nearest railway station. The Gandhi Sagar Dam surrounds the northern and western parts of Garoth.
Agriculture is the mainstay of the economy and the major crops grown here are soyabean, wheat, pulses, coriander, fenugreek and opium.
Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary, Manasa, Sitamau and Nayagaon are places of tourist interest in the vicinity.
