This temple OF GODESS RANNADEVI. She is KULDEVI of PRASHNORA
NAGAR BRHMIN. Village JAWARAJ is native place of a section of Prashnora Nagar Brahmin having SANKHYAYN GOTRA with Surname having either BHATT or MEHTA. There is one BRAHMA POLE in village where ancestors of present generation were living till before fifty years. Their main business was "JAJAMAN VRUTTI",AGRICULTURE,TEACHING and AYURVEDIC PRACTICE called as VAIDYA. After independence due to Agriculture reforms,Recession in JAJAMAN VRUTTI next generation migrated to Cities and Towns like Ahmedabad,Bhavanagar and Dholka for education and jobs most probably in Govt as well as in Education Medical and Banking sectors. At present only one family is staying in village surviving on agriculture, however RANNADE TEMPLE is only source of geathering for present generation whenever relegious functon is organised. At present Shri Bhikhubhai Nanalal Bhatt having age of about 85 years is eldest surviving member of Bhatt and Mehta Families.
We are not sure if there is any real connection between Ranni Devi
depicted here and Dashora decadency. Further investigations are continuing
