DASHORA KULDEVI
MAHA SATI MATA SHRINE
in MANDSAUR,  M. P., INDIA

Many Dashoras (Brahmin and Mahajans) consider Mandsaur Maha Sati-mata Shrine as one that represents a memorial shrine for one of their ancestors. Although not all Dashora Brahmin endorse their connection to the event, it is firmly believed that a Sati event for Koravya Mishra Family happened at the location of this shrine in the year 1305 A.D. (Vikram Samvad 1362).

A group of Dashoras from different parts of India  gathered at Mandsaur on May 30, 2009, on "Jaisht Sukla Saptami"   for a worship ceremony for Maha Sati Mata. Nearly 200 people from Indore travelled to Mandsaur for the occasion. Here are some of the pictures of the ceremony.
